1. I have put many details on this work, do you think it is already too much? Especially the fires/explosions? If you think I could put some more details on the picture, what do you think could it be?
I think I might have gone with a movie poster layout which might have more impact than the landscape mode. See Corey S. Barker and his World War Z movie poster take. I might add some kind of aircraft that is in more in the foreground.
2. Do you think the work will be better if there is some part, which is especially highlighted with some light flare? What do you think is the best part to focus this way?
I would bring “The Ministry of Love” more to the fore front and/or highlight it more. That piece gives the whole picture or the irony of love and war and in and the concept of doublespeak the same picture (without the slogans at the bottom). It took a few seconds to find all the aircraft. Maybe they need to be highlight more but is night so that is a tough call. I would decrease the transparency of the slogans at the bottom. People eyes usually go to the text first.
3. Have you read the book and do you think the artwork suits to it? I never really thought of the book about being focused on war but more of a warning about the erosion of our personal freedoms. Yes the distant wars are mentioned in the government feed broadcasts but we are never taken to the war scenes that I recall. However, if this a revolt by citizens against the government then yeah it works.
